So Elle and Went to a show on Monday. 2'3" jumping and a cob type showing class. We had mixed results. Jumping did not go so well, we refused the first jump, umped the second, refused the third jumped the fourth far too fast lost our balnce and by jump 5 I was flying through the air. Elimination.

Cob type went far better, Elle was a little star and looked absolutely stunning, and we were placed!!!! We came sixth, our first rosette. That may not sound so great but the judge said we were only put down there becasue we were just a little too light to get any higher. :(

Unfortuneately Elle then went to break the lorry with her head and it was touch and go for a while as to whether we would be able to get home.

Current Mood: high

Well today I had a jumping clinic with Richard Waygood!!!!! The guy that trains the household cavalry!!!! It waas so cool, and he was so nice. Elle was a star, although she got way tooo over excited and did a lot of bucking, big bucking, almost got me off several times. Then atthe end went very purposfully to jump the end end fence out the school...there is a very big drop at the bottom of that fence, we went galloping into Aggy instead. Anyway, it was sooooooooo cool.

Vets coming out thursday to have another look at her feet as they seem to be bad again. I might also have a portrait of her done because she is pretty.

Current Mood: gloomy

Well I'm feeling down. don't quite know why, just am. My mouth is so sore you wouldn't believe, ans I can feel something hard just behind my jawbone. Went to out to by stuff for the party tomorrow, spent 11 pounds which I didn't plan on. Had to take hundred pounds out of bank account to pay for Elle's shoes and physio, that still doesn't cover the cost but it is my weekly limit I still need about another twenty quid. Meant to be working this weekend and just don't want to. I'm too tired.

More vets @ 07:14 pm

Current Mood: crappy

Vet came to give Elle a check up on her feet, now she has had her new shoes put on and has been on drugs for two weeks. He says everything is how it should be, which is good news, and just to carry on with what we have been doing. Jolly good stuff. On the down side, the vets bill came through today!!!! £675!!!! As my mum said, not what you want just before christmas!!! Not sure whether we will claim it on the insurance becuase if we do, when we renew our plan, they will not cover her two front feet for anything in the future, just perfect really. Still feeling rough, felt rought all day, which isn't really that great for my Driving Test tomorrow.

Well the vet came out to x-ray Elle's feet today. I missed the phone call to tell me how it went but he left a message saying that she has some navicular changes, and I am to call him after 6.30 to discuss in detail what to do next. I call the number he gave me after 6.30 and this woman answers it, acts as if I'm a complete idiot that can't tell the time, and syas he's not on call tonight and she can't help me. I don't want to call him out, I just want to speak to him!!!!!!

Current Mood: amused

I had a great moment in my driving lesson the other day, truely fabulous. I was going round a round about at a fair speed in Burpham, and this this man was so desperate to get in front of me, that he was over revving his engine something chronic, went in the inside lane, then he came round the corner so fast that he hit the traffic island, which then made the body of his car hit the road, bits flew everywhere, it was fantastic, if he hadn't been such a prat and allowed me to drive in front of him, he would'nt have ruined his car, it was a BMW as well, so tn=hat will be pricey. What then made the whole episode even better was that about a hundred yards after this roundabout, was another one, so he didn't even get very far. Such a loser!!!

Lesson @ 06:31 pm

Current Mood: tired

Well I Had a lesson on Elle today with Sally. Just about everyone ended up riding Elle today. Sally was on, then I was on, then Joe was, then I was on, then Sally was on again, and finally me again. This is what happens when you keep doing the same thing wrong!!!

It was a whole hour without stirrups. It was painful. I was told I would not have them back until I had done two brillient canters on both reins. This was not something that was ging to happen quickly. We have to work on my balance so that Elle's can improve and so she works properly, well my balance is awful, so needless to say I very almos ended up in the sludgy puddle many times. Eventually I was allowed my stirrups and then I did what I was meant to do perfectly, mind you with the correct position Loo goes off like a shot, she really gets those back legs working and off we go, into the sunset!!!!.

We also found out why she doesn't go in an outline easily. She's upside down. Because she has spent so long with her head in the air, the muscle had built up on the bottom of her neck rather than the top, so she can't put her head down. So what's our answer to this? I have to lunge her for a long time with side reins twice a week. Lucky I have just bought her a new lunging kit really isn't it?

Anyway, I have to go and start writing my English Coursework essay now. Bye Bye.

Well I just realised that I have'nt posted anything in a while, which is very boring of me, not that I ever have anything really exciting to say anyway but it's better than nothing isnt it. *thinks to self...I'm typing really fast'...is impressed*

I got a new phone yesterday, one to replace the old one which was tragically lost in a toilet accident, and today have realised that I've got the original models shell, with the new model's features. I now have a video camera on my Phone!!!!!!!!!! :-D. How cool is that, I've never had a video camera on my phone before, come to that, I've never had a video camera before. Now is that exciting or is that exciting. *goes off in excited swaying chair dance*

Current Music: Doctor Doctor-Robert Palmer

Well, I'm feeling decidedly miserable at the mo. Had to stay off school today because was really not well. Just feel genrerally bunged up and blurr. Am feeling a bit better now so will probably have to go in tommorow, I can't afford to miss out on too work, but will probably be met the phrase, (one of my most hated) 'ew don't give that to me' and then I will be unhappy. It is only contagious for the first day or two apparently so people needn't be so worried.

On the up side, the Robinsons horsey catalogue winter edition did come through today, so I had time to sit and read that!! Have done some work aswell, so it has not been an all together wasted day. My mummy bought me a jam doughnut and a really big pot of yoghurt aswell, so that made me happy.

Got to go down and see the pony later, will not do much as am not feeling up to it, but she has to be exercised because she is obese, am thinking of getting her a grass muzzle. Will also wash her locker as it is rather dusty and dirty. God, don't I live an exciting life.

Blah @ 08:01 pm

Current Mood: stressed

Well, today has been a pretty blah day. For starters it is only one day before we go back to school, have I done all the work I was meant to do? No, who's fault is that you say? Well I suppose it is mine, or perhaps I can push the blame onto the teachers who set the work in the first place. If they had not done then I would have no work not to have done at the end of the holiday.

Secondly I went into town this morning to get school supplies and could not get the book I am meant to be writing the essay on, so I have had to order that, meaning I won't have it for when I get back to school.

Thirdly, went down to the yard this morning for a bit of light relief, and my horse decides to be an arse, and not do anything I want her to do. Jumping, I thought she like jumping, which she normally does, loves it, but today, no, I'm just going to crash through it and you look like an idiot. RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! Did make up with her in the end though, and washed her tail, so all squeaky clean.

Today @ 09:34 pm

Current Mood: cheerful

Today I rode Elle, after work, (only had to work a day,, Yay) and she was so good. We started to do some flat work, and I was trying to get her to go in an outline, which is such hard work and is really boring. But then my Dad came to watch me ride!!! Yay, happiness, someone is actually taking an interest. So I did some jumping, and we did so well. We put a plank up, something I have never jumped before, then my Dad modified it, and put the plank on the bottom and then put a pole on top of that, so we are getting exciting now and Elle jumperd it beautifully.

I then put a cross up, but it was a big cross, bigger than I have ever jumped before, which is not very big but hey, it was a big step for me and I'm very impressed. We knocked it over a couple times becuase I turned Elle too early and she got her striding wrong. Almost came off twice, but managed to scramble back into the saddle!!!

So we are doing quite well on the jumping front, just as well really since I'm planning on doing my first cross country at the end of the month, not actually looking forward to it, really nervous, but hey, I know Elle will love it.

Current Mood: confused

Well I have been working at my stable yard for two days now, and I am absolutely exhausted. I was working for 12 hours both days. Maybe this is normal I don't know, but we seem to have an inadequate number of grooms at our yard. For 40 horses there were three of us working down there. You never stop!!!! It's good fun though, although I don't think there is an inch of me that doesn't ache...lol.

We have three new horses at the yard, at they are gorgeous!! Fainne, Fornia and Breagh. They are all very very dark bay, Fainne and Fornia are smaller, and spindlier, but Breagh, oh Breagh, she is absolutely gorgeous, and stunner. She's big, and quite chunky, but still is really elegant. She is also the sweetest natured thing in the world!!!! I love her. Will Post pics when I have some. Her show name is Diamond Moon.

We put Fornia and Breagh out together today and they just bombed it round the field together and then just threw themselves into the dirt for a good roll, talk about two happy horses. They are sooooo lovely.

My Elle was in a good mood today aswell. Normally you take her headcollar off and the only movement she makes is her heada going down to the grass, but today, she was playing and running round with her field friend Bella. There must be something about the weather, they all going loopy!!!...lol!

Not quite sure if any of what I have said has made sense but never mind. Got to go to bed, Up early for yet another day horsey toil.

Current Mood: pissed off

Oh yes and how could I forget, I got my AS results. What a pig headed disaster they were, We have decided to get one remarked because it was sooo bad. Music Tech, I got a U, that's Unclassified, Failed, Why-Did-You-Even-Bother-doing-this-course, thicko, an-uneducated-hodo-is-smarter-than-you. It seems a bit odd as I do not get Us, Iget higher than a U. Remarked, or someone will die. Got an A in French though, that was unexpected, really groovy, did not appreciate that mark until quite a while after I had received them as was too busy having a screaming fit. Had to be escorted to Senior teacher's office, while being held up as I seemd to have lost all strength in my legs. Then had to be restrained whilst in the office because I was shaking so violently I probably cause an earthquake in Japan. All because of two marks, English...Seriously disappointed...bloody Chaucer, if he wasn't already dead I kill him. Death by man eating porcupines. If it was'nt for him I waould have got a decent mark. So annoying as got a A in the course work!!!! Will redo module to boost mark, apparently most people did worse in that bit.

B in Latin, again really annoying as was only 17 marks off an A could ry doing unseen translation again, but I only lost 19 marks in that would be hard pushed to up it by 17 and only lose 2 marks for it, but really can't bear relearning all of livy again so might just leave that one as a B

B in GS really inpressed with that considering I got a D for it in the mocks and really did not work hard for it at all.

Overall, exams are awful, results are awful, and I have learnt that I am fairly thick, and should stick to the plan of marrying a really rich old bloke and inherit all his money when he pops his clogs.

Current Music: Holiday-Green Day

Well here I am, back from my second holiday. This time I was in Stratford, it was really nice, we went and saw two plays, The Tempest and Romeo and Juliett. R and J was amazing, it was so good, and no matter how well you know the story, the end is always a tear jerker. The Tempest was really good too, Patrick Stuart was in it!! But, Ariel was definately the best he was fab, he had such a strange, mystical air about him.

The weather was quite nice too, although it did rain one or two days, didn't stop us though!! It didn't stop all the oldies either though, I think I must have seen 75% of Britains OAPs during this week. They were everywhere we went, taking over the tea rooms, and the toilets. All you hear is, 'where's Sid...he must be in the toilet again' 'Oh, I'll have a cup o' tea, oh, no I won't have anything... Oh I will have a cup o' tea...and a toasted teacake'. Youv'e just got to love the elderly.

We also went to Warwick Castle, this was my choice), it is aimed at little kids but it is brill. THere is the castle, but all round there are people dressed up in costumes of the time (and a fluffy dragon, but we won't go into that) demonstrating different things. There was one guy with a long bow, and another with this really big axe, which had a name but I can't remember it.

There was also Jousting:-D This was the highlight of my day (will post pics later) Therre were 4 knights, good and bad (it was really staged but hey it was really fun) There was also a trick rider who spun round and stood off and jumped off the horse and back on agin all while the horse was cantering around the arena. So fun, I told parents that I had finally found my calling, but they said I had enough trouble staying on a horse when it was standing still. :-(

Back to normal today though, Paerents asleep on the sofa, Brother hidden away in his room like some sort of jelly tart. I've got to go to work tomorrow, down at the Yard at 7.30am, I'm going to be like a zombie, 1st day and I doubt I'm going to make a good first impression. Mum has said she will buy me new wellies though, they are really groovy, bright pink, with light pink swirls on, tres elegant. Anyway, I suppose that's all I have to say at the moment. Not the most interesting post ever but hey ho.

Show Name @ 08:50 pm

Current Mood: lethargic
Current Music: Brown Eyed Girl

Well I have finally come upi with Elle's show name. We were sitting in the car on the way back from the show, and Amanda says , you really have to have a show name for her, it's part of the fun. So we went through all the names that described her colour, (strawberry roan), Strawberries and cream, Strawberry cheese cake, then I said becuase I don't think she is strawberry roan, she's chestnut roan, that we should try and incorporate her casual name into a show name, so I have come up with 'Sheer Elegance', and everyone agreed that that was a very nice and appropriate show name for her, so that's that. My little Elle, has her posh show name, 'Sheer Elegance'
